After a great start back to our morning services in the building in September, we want to tell you about a couple of exciting changes for our services in October. Below is an outline of what we have planned, including a few short videos that summarise the key information.
If you are intending on coming to the church building for one or more of our services in October then please let us know. To find out how, see the section below entitled “If you’re planning to come…”.
Plans for October
Morning Services – in the building
The FIRST EXCITING CHANGE to draw your attention to is that there will be both a Sunday School and Creche provided at both of our morning services. The videos below will give you a feel for what these will look like.
This means that our morning services will revert to a more typical adult-aimed service, rather than the all-age format we have become used to over the past few months. The same service being repeated at 9:15am and 11:15am. At these services we are going to pick up where we left off last year in the Book of Romans.
Our services will look much like our services in September with the continued requirement, in line with government guidance, that everyone over the age of 11 will need to wear masks. (For details of who is exempt from wearing masks please see the bottom of the page.) In order to comply with government regulations we have completed a risk assessment which you can find here. A video (below) from the end of July gives a flavour of what sercices in the church building will look and feel like.
Morning Services – online
In addition to the services in the building we will continue to run a service online at 11:15am on our YouTube channel. This will be a livestream of the service in the building at the same time. Lynton and the team have done a great job over the past month, enabling us to stream our services to those at home. It remains our hope and prayer that livestreaming the 11:15am service will further help those joining online to feel part of the church service.
Evening Services – in the building
The SECOND EXCITING CHANGE to draw your attention to is that we will be meeting in the building for our evening services from October 4th. There will be one service, starting at 6:30pm. The format will be similar to the morning service but we will be looking at the life of David from the book of 1 Samuel.
This service will also be livestreamed on our church YouTube channel at 6:30pm each Sunday.

Face Mask Exemptions
The following personal circumstances provide exemptions from wearing face masks.
- children under the age of 11 (Public Health England do not recommended face coverings for children under the age of 3 for health and safety reasons)
- people who cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering because of a physical or mental illness or impairment, or disability
- where putting on, wearing or removing a face covering will cause you severe distress
- if you are speaking to or providing assistance to someone who relies on lip reading, clear sound or facial expressions to communicate
- to avoid harm or injury, or the risk of harm or injury, to yourself or others - including if it would negatively impact on your ability to exercise or participate in a strenuous activity
